O mně

Moje fotka
Welcome to my blog. I come from the Czech Republic and at the moment I am studying English and Literature at University in Usti nad Labem. I have created this blog for the purpose of PC skills. I would like to memorize my travel experiences here and I think that this is a good opportunity to learn something new.

More pictures of Venezuela
This picture was taken in Barinitas. The local fishermen catch piranha fish and sell them in the market.

Caracas. I have never seen such a beautiful cemetery in my life. The mountains and the Pico el Avila rises up to 2,159 meters above the sea which is situated exactly behind these mountains.

Poor natives did not know that in the mountains there was a thunderstorm which caused the river rises and they could not get out of the river. The local firemen and rescue workers in one had to be called for help.

Plátanos. A delicious meal normally eaten with meat and some vegetables. The taste depends on the maturity of the bananas. If they are soft and yellow they taste sweeter. Exactly how I like it.

Dutch Caribbean - Curacao 2009

Willemstad - the capital
Can you imagine a place where people can speak four languages? Before visiting Curacao I could hardly do it. Well, life is full of surprises, isn´t it? People on this little island can speak Dutch (which is an official language), English, Spanish and Papiamento (the native language). The aborigines are very nice and friendly and the Dutch atmosphere is visible everywhere in comparison to some other Caribbean islands.

Beaches
The beaches are gorgeous. As you can see, the colour of the sky and the sea is nearly the same. I could not breathe when I saw it for the first time. I felt like I was dreaming. It is wonderful not to be afraid of your children when swimming because there are no waves, sharks or underwater currents. It is nice and warm. The best place for relaxing with your family in my opinion.
Aquarium
If you want to see such a great exhibition you cannot miss visiting the aquarium. Every day there are many beautiful shows. You can swim with dolphins, feed the sharks or touch some of the sea creatures. I fully recommend it.
